About the author
Megan DeVos grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where she currently resides. She graduated from university with a bachelor's degree in nursing, and have been working as a surgical nurse for the last two and a half years. She has always loved writing, and finally dedicated herself to it during university, where she wrote her first published novel, Anarchy.Connecting with readers worldwide has been the greatest outcome of writing, and is something she will continue to pursue during the rest of her career as a writer.
My Thoughts
This book is a fantastic dystopian novel and the plot keeps you engrossed till the very end. The book is told from the two main protagonists perspectives, Hayden and Grace. I personally enjoy reading books written this way.So, the story starts with Hayden (belongs to Blackwing) going on a raid with his two best friends Dax and Kit. Jett (11 year old boy, Blackwing) secretly follows them. They get spotted by Greystone members. Dax and Kit manage to escape but Hayden and Jett are eventually cornered by Grace who belongs to Greystone. The rule is, if you find anyone stealing, you have to KILL them...
While Grace is on a raid in the city, she is shot by the brutes and left behind by the members of her raid party. Close by, Hayden witnesses these events and decides to return the favour and rescues Grace and takes her back to Blackwing. Not everyone in Blackwing is happy with Hayden's new visitor and the decision is made that Grace must either be killed, or stay in camp as Hayden’s prisoner...
🌟 Hayden is quite reserved and also carries a lot of weight on his shoulders at such a young age.
🌟 Grace does not trust anyone easily as she was raised like that and has been trained to kill.
🌟 They fall in love despite being enemies. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Hayden and Grace. My favourite character is Jett. He is cute, funny and adorable!
🌟 I loved the story line and also how everyone starts to trust Grace even though she's an enemy.
🌟 The writing was very descriptive. I couldn't put the book down and read it in one sitting. I can kind of describe the book as "addictive" to read. Anarchy is fun, enjoyable and beautifully written. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
