Q&A / 30 Beauty Questions Tag

Hey Loves!

I've been so busy for the past few months. This year is quite hectic for me as I've got important exams coming up in June and October. I have finally found the time today to  properly sit down and catch up with my emails, tweets, DMs and pending blog posts.

As I haven't posted anything since January, I thought of doing a Q&A (Beauty related). I saw the "30 Beauty Questions" Tag online and thought it would be really fun to do. Also, if you've got any questions for me for my next Q&A, just comment them down below, send me a tweet or a DM (@shaniamua both on Instagram and Twitter).

Let's get on with the tag! ❤️

Q1) Do you remember your first makeup item?

Yes I do! It was an Avon lip gloss.

Q2) Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found one that fits your specifications?

In my opinion, the perfect mascara lengthens, curls and adds a lot of volume. The Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara is my all time favourite!

Q3) What kind of coverage do you prefer from foundation?

Very little coverage and a dewy finish!

Q4) Favourite High End Brand?

Um, it's a tie between Chanel, Dior and Marc Jacobs.

Q5) What cosmetic brands have you always wanted to try out but still haven't?

Stilla, Hourglass, Kat Von D, Urban Decay and Morphe.

Q6) Favourite drugstore brand?

Maybelline New York

Q7) Do you wear fake eyelashes?

This is kind of embarrassing but... am I the only one who's never worn fake lashes???

Q8) Is there any kind of makeup you can't leave the house without?

I often go out makeup-free but I always like to carry around a tinted lip balm.

Q9) What is your most cherished beauty product?

It's a skincare product. The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution works wonders for my skin!

Q10) How often do you shop for makeup?

I often buy a whole lot of makeup (and I mean loads!) at once so maybe every 3 months or so. I am an impulsive buyer (sometimes, it depends!)

Q11) Do you have a "Beauty Budget" or do you spend freely?

I spend freely, I don't have an exact budget just for Beauty products.

Q12) Do you use coupons, reward cards when you shop for cosmetics?

I do have some reward cards but I mostly place orders online and I use the current promotion/discount code provided on the website.

Q13) What type of product do you mostly buy the most of?

Definitely skincare first and as for makeup, I buy more lip products.

Q14) Is there a brand that you can't stand?

Yep, Shop Miss A Cosmetics. I tried out their AOA lip products and that was enough to make me not want to buy more products from them! Literally received liquid lipsticks without the applicator/wand.

Q15) Do you avoid certain ingredients in cosmetics like parabens or sulfates?

I never use to before but now I try my best to avoid Parabens, lipsticks containing Lead and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate in my shampoo.

Q16) Do you have a favourite place to shop for makeup?

Boots, Superdrug and FeelUnique.

Q17) Do you like trying new skincare products or do you keep a certain routine?

I love trying out new skincare products and experimenting!

Q18) Favourite bath and body brand?

Definitely The Body Shop!

Q19) If you could only buy from one brand, which brand would you choose?

Again, The Body Shop as they've got everything from skincare to makeup!

Q20) What brand do you think has the best packaging?

It's a tie between Benefit Cosmetics and Too Faced . They've got the cutest packaging!

Q21) Which celebrity always has great makeup?

Lucy Hale, I think she looks pretty both with and without makeup! Her makeup always looks simple and  fresh.

Q22) Do you belong to any online makeup communities?

Only MakeupAlley (yet!)

Q23) 5 Favourite Beauty Gurus

Huda Beauty, Zoella, Tanya Burr, Niomi Smart and Gabriella Lindley.

Q24) Do you like multi-functional products like lip and cheek stains?

Nope, I prefer having separate products. Also with Cheek and Lip Stains, I often find myself using it mostly on my lips and never on my cheeks.

Q25) Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?

Not at all.

Q26) Do you use makeup base/primer for the eyes?

On rare occasions, yes, I use the Urban Decay Primer Potion  or the Too Faced Shadow Insurance  .

Q27) How many hair products do you use on a typical day?

One, I apply the OGX Beauty Keratin Anti-breakage Oil . I only use dry shampoo on days where my hair is greasy.

Q28) What do you apply first, concealer or foundation?

Foundation first then concealer ( I'm a bit confused as to whether it is the other way round but this works fine for me).

Q29) Do you ever consider taking makeup classes?

No, not really, I think Youtube is a better option.

Q30) What do you love about makeup?

Makeup is fun and enhances your natural beauty! Makeup allows you to experiment and create different looks. For me personally, I spend more on skincare than makeup. The key to looking great with makeup is to have good and healthy skin, so skincare is a MUST!

That's it! Finally completed the 30 Beauty Questions Tag. I hope you enjoyed reading this post.
